Updating the validity period of Linux Foundation certifications

Aktualisiert: 11. März

In the world of technology and software development, continuous education and certification is key to success. As a recognized CNCF Kubernetes Training Partner and Linux Foundation Authorized Training Partner, our mission at FullStackS is to provide you with up-to-date and relevant information that will advance your career and skills. Today we would like to highlight an important change regarding the validity period of Linux Foundation certifications that will take effect on April 1, 2024.

From this date, the validity period for all Linux Foundation certifications will be reduced from the previous 36 months to 24 months. This change will affect all exams taken on or after April 1, 2024. Certifications obtained before this date will retain their original validity period of 36 months.

What does this mean for you?

For IT professionals planning to obtain their CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) certification under the current policy, it is advisable to complete the exam before the change. This will ensure that your certification remains valid for the extended period of 36 months. In addition, we recommend scheduling exam dates to allow enough time for a possible retest before the new policy comes into effect.
